OFFICE OF COMPLIANCE

Welcome to the Office of Compliance at Florida Hebrew University!

We are here to support, educate, and guide our community members in all matters of legal and Torah compliance.  We work collaboratively across departments to promote a culture of transparency and integrity.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The Compliance Office is committed to ensuring that all university activities adhere to the highest standards of legal and ethical integrity. This includes full compliance with federal and state laws, as well as a deep commitment to living by the principles and teachings of the Torah. Our mission is to foster an environment that respects and upholds both our legal obligations and our adherence to Torah mitzvot. In instances where there is a dispute or conflict between legal requirements and Torah values, our adherence to Torah mitzvot shall take precedence, in accordance with the principle of separation of religion and state. This guideline underscores our dedication to maintaining the integrity of our commitment to Torah observance while navigating the complexities of compliance in a secular legal framework.
