Minimum Qualifications: Qualified candidates must hold a Master's Degree or the equivalent in the area of teaching or have at least 8 years of experience and have a distinguished position in the industry of their field of expertise. FULL-TIME POSITIONS

Career Center Director/Manager

Role Overview:

The Career Center Director is responsible for leading and managing the university's Career Center, playing a key role in supporting students' career development and post-graduation success. This position involves strategic planning, program development, and the establishment of strong relationships with employers, alumni, and other stakeholders.

Level: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Career Counseling and Student Development:

Provide one-on-one career counseling and coaching to students.

Develop and deliver workshops and seminars on career development topics.

  • Employer Relations and Job Placement:

Build and maintain relationships with potential employers.

Organize career fairs and networking events to connect students with job opportunities.

  • Internship Program Management:

Develop and oversee internship programs in collaboration with various academic departments.

Liaise with employers to secure internship placements for students.

  • Alumni Engagement:

Collaborate with the alumni office to create mentoring and networking opportunities for students.

Engage alumni in career-related events and initiatives.

  • Data Tracking and Reporting:

Track and report on student employment outcomes.

Use data to inform and improve career services strategies.

  • Resource Development:

Create and maintain a library of career development resources.

Ensure students have access to current job search tools and information.

  • Staff Management:

Supervise and train Career Center staff.

Foster a team environment that is focused on student service and outcomes.

  • Collaboration with Academic Departments:

Work closely with faculty to integrate career readiness into the curriculum.

Partner with academic departments to align career services with student academic experiences.

  • Outreach and Communication:

Promote Career Center services to students, faculty, and employers.

Develop marketing and communication strategies to enhance the visibility of the Career Center.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Career Counseling, Education, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience in career services, counseling, or human resources.

  • Strong understanding of job market trends and employer needs.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
