OUR MISSION

Our mission is to cultivate future generations of Torah-observant citizens who perceive the true value of adhering to Torah mitzvot and possess the skills to contribute to development of Torah-based culture and research. Through rigorous academic programs and ethical teachings, we empower our students to lead lives of purpose and impact, equipped with the skills to provide for their families while dedicating time to the study Torah.

OUR VISION

At Florida Hebrew University, our vision is to be a distinguished institution dedicated to Torah-based education and research, where  students have an opportunity to engage in rigorous academic pursuits while embracing Torah mitzvot within Orthodox Jewish tradition. We are committed to fostering a deep understanding of Torah principles, promoting spiritual purity, and advancing the concept of geulah (redemption) within our community and beyond.

OUR LECTURE FORMAT

At Florida Hebrew University, each lecture begins and ends with a heartfelt prayer and an expression of gratitude to Hashem for the privilege of learning.  Throughout our courses, we weave together secular subjects with the timeless wisdom of the Torah.  By drawing parallels between modern scientific discoveries and ancient Torah teachings, we offer a unique, holistic approach to education.  Our curriculum cross-references appropriate secular and Torah perspectives, fostering critical thinking and a deeper, spiritually enriched understanding.  We are mindful of our language, avoiding words that contain potentially destructive content, ensuring that our communication upholds the values of respect and positivity.  All our students adhere to a halakhically established dress code, and all faculty and students are observant of touch, or shomer negiyah.  All students are asked to stand to greet their teachers prior to commencement of each class.
