  • Academic Programs: Undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs are currently offered online.

  • Transfer of Credit: Transfer credit is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Due to the unique Torah-based nature of our programs, students are encouraged to complete their entire program at FHU

STUDENT FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION

  • Federal Financial Aid: Florida Hebrew University is not currently eligible to offer Title IV federal financial aid (Pell Grants, federal student loans, etc.).

  • Tuition & Fees: $733 per credit hour. A detailed breakdown is available on our Tuition & Fees page.

  • Scholarships: Merit-based scholarships are available for select programs.

  • Payment Plans: Monthly installment plans are available.

  • Refund Policy: Refund policies are outlined in our Enrollment Agreement and Student Handbook.

TEXTBOOK INFORMATION

​

FHU strives to reduce textbook costs. Course materials, including ISBNs and required books, are provided before classes begin through the student portal or email.

STUDENT OUTCOMES

​

FHU is a new institution. Graduation, retention, and job placement data will be published when available.

CAMPUS SAFETY AND EMERGENCY INFORMATION

​

As a distance-learning institution, FHU does not currently operate a physical campus and is therefore not subject to Clery Act reporting requirements. Safety protocols for Zoom-based learning environments are included in our Student Code of Conduct.

DISTANCE EDUCATION POLICIES

​

  • Authorization: FHU operates online under Florida religious exemption.

  • Complaint Process: Students may file academic or conduct-related complaints through our internal grievance process outlined in the Student Handbook.

  • Student Authentication: Student identity is verified through a combination of login credentials, live Zoom participation, and assignment submission.

FERPA: STUDENT PRIVACY RIGHTS

​

FHU complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Students have the right to:

  • Access their education records

  • Request correction of inaccurate records

  • Control disclosure of personally identifiable information (PII)

HIGHER EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY ACT (HEOA)

​

The Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) of 2008 is a federal law that enhances student protections, expands financial aid access, promotes transparency in college costs, and supports distance education and campus safety. HEOA SUMMARY

​

The HEOA reauthorized the Higher Education Act of 1965 and was signed into law on August 14, 2008. It aims to increase access to higher education, improve affordability, promote accountability, and strengthen transparency in colleges and universities.

​

Key Provisions:

​

  1. College Cost Transparency

    • Requires institutions to provide a net price calculator on their websites.

    • Institutions must report tuition increases and justify significant price hikes.

  2. Textbook Disclosure

    • Schools must disclose ISBNs and retail prices of required textbooks to help students make informed purchasing decisions.

  3. Student Aid Reforms

    • Expands access to Pell Grants, student loans, and college work-study programs.

    • Simplifies the FAFSA process and improves financial aid counseling.

  4. Student Loan Oversight

    • Bans revenue-sharing between colleges and lenders.

    • Requires a code of conduct for financial aid officers.

  5. Campus Safety

    • Expands the Clery Act with new emergency notification requirements.

    • Requires fire safety reports for dormitories.

  6. Academic Quality and Accreditation

    • Preserves institutional autonomy in accreditation decisions.

    • Promotes outcome-based accreditation while preventing federal overreach.

  7. Distance and Online Education
