Trademark Policy
Introduction
Florida Hebrew University ("University") recognizes the importance of protecting its trademarks, service marks, logos, and trade names ("Trademarks"). These Trademarks represent the reputation and excellence of our University and are valuable assets that must be used correctly and consistently.

Trademark Notice
All trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, and graphics (collectively "Trademarks") used on this website and in all University-related materials are the property of Florida Hebrew University. These Trademarks include, but are not limited to, "Florida Hebrew University" and the Florida Hebrew University logo. No trademark, service mark, trade name, or trade dress may be used in any manner that is likely to cause confusion or in any manner that disparages or discredits Florida Hebrew University. All other trademarks not owned by Florida Hebrew University that appear on this website or in University materials are the property of their respective owners.

Proper Use of Trademarks

Brand Guidelines
Logo Usage
To maintain the integrity of Florida Hebrew University's brand, please adhere to the following guidelines when using our logos:
Primary Logo: Use the primary logo in its approved colors and formats. The primary logo should always appear as shown below:​

Color Variations: The logo may only be used in the official University colors or in black and white. The approved color palette is:

Purple and Grey with HEX values of: 5f0a50 (for Purple) and 7b7171 (for Grey). RGB: (95, 10, 80) for Purple and RGB: (123, 113, 113) for Grey.

Clear Space: Maintain a clear space around the logo equivalent to the height of the "F" in Florida to ensure it stands out.​

Size and Scaling: Do not distort or alter the logo’s proportions when resizing. The logo should not be smaller than 1 inch in height for print or 72 pixels in height for digital use.​

This policy applies to all University departments, external vendors, and affiliates. It governs the use of the University's trademarks, including names, logos, and other brand elements, on all merchandise.

All uses of trademarks must be approved by the University and must reflect the values and integrity of the institution.

Unauthorized use of the University's trademarks is strictly prohibited.

All requests to use the University's trademarks on merchandise must be submitted to the Office of Compliance.

Requests should include detailed design mockups, information about the intended use, and the vendor’s details.

The Office of Compliance will review all requests and provide written approval or denial.

Licensed Vendors

Only licensed vendors are permitted to produce merchandise featuring the University's trademarks.

To become a licensed vendor, a vendor must complete the licensing process with the University. This includes signing a licensing agreement and paying any applicable fees.

Licensed vendors must adhere to the University's quality standards and trademark usage guidelines.

Quality Control

Merchandise must meet the University's quality standards to ensure that all products reflect the University's values.

The Office of Compliance will conduct periodic reviews of licensed merchandise to ensure compliance with these standards.
Royalty and Fees

A royalty fee, as stipulated in the licensing agreement, will be applied to all merchandise sales.

Collected fees will be used to support University programs, initiatives, and student aid.
Legal Compliance

All uses of the University's trademarks must comply with local, state, and federal laws, as well as the ethical standards set by the University.
