Religious University Status

As a religious institution, Florida Hebrew University adheres to the requirements set forth by the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) regulations, specifically Section 105.06(1)(f) of the Florida Statutes, which pertains to religious institutions exempt from government oversight. This compliance ensures that we maintain the highest standards of academic excellence while staying true to our Torah-based values and traditions.  To meet these regulatory requirements, we incorporate a religious modifier in our degree titles.

At Florida Hebrew University, we believe that education should be a harmonious blend of academic excellence and spiritual development. Our commitment to this philosophy is reflected in our curriculum, teaching methods, and the supportive learning environment we create. The inclusion of the religious modifier in our degree titles is a testament to our dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders who are well-versed in both secular and Torah-based knowledge, ready to contribute meaningfully to their communities and the wider world.

By upholding these standards, Florida Hebrew University continues to provide an education that is coherent with Torah mitzvot and our values, ensuring that our graduates are prepared to navigate the complexities of the modern world while staying true to Torah mitzvot and her heritage.
